Lehanga Style Designer Cot-Silk Kota Saree

A regular sari requires pleats to be formed at the waist, whereas in a lehenga style sari the pleats are replaced with ornately embellished panels or godets, adding drama to this drape. It has to be draped just like a sari by tucking into the inskirt. The only difference is, that unlike a sari you dont have to form pleats but simply ‘tuck and drape’. At times, the design and styling of this outfit also determines the way it should be draped. This saree is all over beautifully embroidered with floral booties. Plate design made from heavy lase, gives it a lehnga style look. Embroidered and Embellished with Zari, Resham and Gota/Lace work to give it gorgeous look.

The Rajasthan is famous for vibrant colors of happiness and Kota (Rajasthan) is famous for Kota sarees. Kota saree is basically created in Rajasthan and the desert state is the abode of this particular saree. Kota sarees are created in small villages around the Kota city of Rajasthan. Kota sarees are also called "Kota Doria" which is a super transparent yet stable cotton or cotton-silk weave.

This saree is created in a way that the saree display an almost graph like pattern called khats which is a squares formed between the different thicknesses of fibers. These sarees are worn in summer to get relief from the heat of summer. There is no comparison of traditional craftsmanship of Kota Sarees, all over India. Kota Cot-silk Sarees are prepared from special pattern of fabric in which Silk yarn is used as wrap and Cotton yarn is used as weft. This designer collection is handpicked from Kota (Rajasthan). Each saree is Unique & Exclusive, mostly available in cool pastel color.

The designs of Kota sarees are so done that it gets a weightless appearance and feel. The spinning, dyeing and weaving are done by the adept artisans of the region, who are involved in weaving and designing. Basically the sarees are woven in white and later dyed with different vibrant hues. Often the sarees are embellished with zari work in the border. The Kota sarees are the exclusive sarees of North India and are perfect as a summer wear.
